Yoga and chronic back pain

Yoga provides a more effective treatment for chronic lower back pain than some conventional methods, according to a large UK study into the practice.

Researchers from the University of York supported by the charity Arthritis Research UK, found that people given a specially designed twelve-week yoga program had greater improvements in back function and more confidence in performing everyday tasks than those offered conventional forms of healthcare.
